I.D.T.A London Seminar

It was 7 am in the Morning and 9 of the Fusion Dance teachers were making their way to the nearest train station to get up to the Royal Lancaster Hotel, in Westminster Borough. The 2nd of February 2020 was the I.D.T.A’s annual professional seminar, bringing a host of directors, examiners and fellow professional dance teachers, both from Theatre and Ballroom branches together once again for a fab filled day of lectures.

Albeit, a long day, the lectures were fantastic throughout and lots of ideas were shared, including Keely’s very own street lecture. However, highlight of the day was Remain Nameless Street Team, consisting of 35 professional and amateur dancers travelling to London on the invitation to perform for the I.D.T.A cabaret evening. A true honour to even be asked, and although nerves were high the whole team were truly professional from start to finish, turning up in the RN uniform with hair and make up already done. After a run through on the dance floor to feel the space, they returned to the changing room to get changed into costumes and looked amazing.

Once called we went down to the room and entered on to the floor and music started… Shaping was fantastic, music, however, had been sped up but the team powered through, hitting every accent and pushing to top form and technique. Gradually the music was resumed to normal speed after a glance at Keely and Stacey’s faces of despair. The team, however, were professional and full of energy and vibe. The performance was over rather quickly, but was one of the proudest moments of Keely and Stacey’s teaching career, as the room erupted with applause with a few standing ovations and whooping and cheering throughout the routine.

Once finished and during the members reception, it was lovely to hear such positive feedback and we realise the support for all teachers and students of Remain Nameless is phenomenal.

We are truly grateful to all our peers and friends who continue to support us within the I.D.T.A and to all our parents who continue to do so as well. As for the teachers and students of Remain Nameless and Fusion Dance Academies, we saw you perform to a very high spec and worked as a dance family and words cannot describe how proud we are of all you. The hard work continues to pay off and here is to our next big adventure.
