Freestyle Qualifiers Guildford 5th May 2024

Our Fusion Dance Academies madness filled May was a brand new

Freestyle team attending the IDTA SE Freestyle Competition.

Stacey and Sam took a team of 10 RN and fusion dancers to compete in solos, pairs, duos, team and rock n roll and although an eye opener for them in contrast to the street, they all went out fearless and held their own in an extremely hard competition.

Team XLR8 successfully placed first, alongside

Danell Purdue placing 4th in fast, 3rd in slow, 3rd in pairs with Jess Hetherington and 4th in rock n roll.

Kiki Quirk qualified in both fast and slow.

Emily McGuinnity qualified in slow, pairs with Maizy Baber and rock n roll with Danell.

Jess Soul and Megan Searle qualified for pairs.

Well done to all other team members… Tilly Whyman, Bella Kingshott, Zofia Stepien and Rachel Karlsson.

Blood, sweat and tears but an awful lot of fun and laughter training for it to what is now a dance weekend trip to Blackpool in November.

A massive well done to the whole team for smashing the results and although a scary experience at first you all became more and more confident and we just loved watching you all together.

Love to you all. Xxx

Street Nationwide Comp Stoke 23rd March 2024

Finally a chance to catch my breath and say how immensely proud Stacey and I are of each and every student who competed at the street nationwide last Sunday.

The competition was a high standard with many a tough round and each of you held your own.

It was a wonderful day with many trophies being bought back for yourselves and the team.

Thank you to nationwide for hosting a great event, to the parents, friends and family who come and support endlessly, to the teachers and students for constant help and motivation and help with choreography as always and to the students whose dedication and commitment really paid off. Here’s to the next adventure. Have a lovely Easter everybody.

June Exams And Presentation Evening

The 14th and 15th June saw yet another set of dance exams with Mrs Anita Spiers, from the IDTA coming to examine the students. The day was a huge success with 100% pass rate with grades ranging from 83% to 99%. Our students work tirelessly to achieve the best they can and once again made us proud.

On Friday 29th September, we hosted our first Presentation Evening in 7 years, to a hall full of our wonderful supportive families. It was an opportunity for our newer students to showcase their exam work in front of an audience. Showing the styles that they train in and of which parents do not get to watch. The night was well received and was a wonderful display of routines, fun and friends coming together to dance as a family.
